There are many different type of hardware to use for cabling and bracing. Don't worry, let Dallas Arbor Tech access the situation and determine exactly what system is needed to take care of all your cable and bracing.
Here are just two types of many.

Lag hooks are installed by screwing into a pre-drilled hole that is smaller in diameter than the lag. Care should be taken to avoid injuring the bark.

In circumstances where dead-end hardware is not appropriate, eye bolts or threaded rods with amon-eye nuts may be used. Drop-forged eye bolts are considered slightly stronger than threaded rods used with amon-eye nuts.

Once installed, the cable should be just taut. A cable that is too tight may put excessive stress on the wood fibers, result in more damage at the defect, or cause the hardware to pull out. The limbs may be brought closer together with ropes, or slings and a come-along. This will make the installation easier, and the cable should be taut when the limbs are released. If the cable is installed while the tree is in foliage, it should be tight enough that it will not be slack after the leaves have fallen.

Cable & Bracing

Cables are installed in trees to limit movement of limbs judged to have a weak connection or to support heavy limbs by connecting two or more limbs together. Additional support may be needed due to split or decayed crotches, crotches with included bark, or the inherent danger of weak-wooded trees.

Cabling is performed as a preventative safety measure. Trees that are damaged or that have the potential for causing damage by splitting or falling are often cabled to help reduce the risk of further damage. Cabling can also be used to help stabilize a multi-trunked tree.

The key here is the proper diagnosis, placement and installation of the cable. Many companies fail to insure proper cable placement because it's often much easier to install a low cable on a tree. At Dallas Arbor Tech you will find we don't cut corners and will always follow cable and bracing standards that will ensure structural support.
