Crown Cleaning -
The selective removal of dead, diseased, broken, or weakly attached branches from a tree crown. This is the most common pruning technique for landscape trees. Regular pruning should correct small growth problems before they have a chance to become large problems.
Crown Thinning -
Includes crown cleaning as well as selective removal of branches to increase light penetration and air movement through the crown, and to reduce weight. Increased light and air stimulates and maintains interior foliage.
Crown Raising -
Removes the lower branches of a tree in order to provide clearance for buildings, signs, vehicles, pedestrians, and vistas.
Vista Pruning -
The selective removal or reduction of scaffold limbs to allow a specific view from a predetermined point.
Crown Reduction -
Used to reduce the size of a tree.
Uitility Pruning -
The removal of branches or stems to prevent the loss of service, prevent damage to utility equipment, avoid impairment, and uphold the intended usage of utility facilities.
Specialty Pruning –
To create special aesthetic effects.

| Properly trimmed and pruned trees have a natural appearance. As professional arborists, Dallas Arbor Tech are knowledgeable of the characteristic branch growth of specific tree species, sun light requirements, and the branch shedding patterns of free standing trees and trees growing in groups. We work "with" the tree, not against it. We also recognize and respect specific characteristics of the various tree species in order to maintain their health and appearance, while making them safer for people and property when pruning or trimming to clear buildings, streets and sidewalks. |
Tree pruning is often desirable or necessary to remove dead branches, improve tree structure, enhance vigor, or maintain safety.
Removing foliage from a tree by pruning branches affects its future growth.
Common pruning goals are to improve tree structure or health, or to accommodate human needs such as clearance pruning or hazard mitigation.
Trees may also be pruned to increase light penetration or to provide a view.
In most cases, tree pruning is of a corrective or preventive nature.

| Pruning is required to keep trees healthy. It promotes healthy growth of new limbs. Removing unwanted limbs or unhealthy limbs allows the tree to provide the nutrients to healthier limbs and roots. In Fruit trees, it provides better fruit by eliminating the need of the tree to try to support the unhealthy fruit or trying to supply too much fruit that cannot be supported by the tree. We follow tree trimming and pruning standards to achieve the goal of a healthy, aesthetically pleasing tree.
